SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

This social media policy outlines the guidelines for Tahuna Football Club (TFC) members, staff, and supporters when engaging with social media platforms, both on TFC's official accounts and personal accounts. It aims to promote a positive and respectful online environment for the entire TFC community.

TFC representatives managing official accounts are responsible for:

Monitoring social media platforms for inappropriate content and taking appropriate action, such as removal or reporting.
4.2. Members, Staff, and Supporters
When engaging with social media, TFC members, staff, and supporters are expected to:

Disrespectful, offensive, defamatory, obscene, or harassing.

Discriminatory or hateful towards any individual or group.

Negative or critical towards TFC, opposition teams, officials, or players (public criticism should be directed to the appropriate TFC channels).

5. Personal Social Media Accounts
5.1. Responsibility
Members, staff, and supporters are ultimately responsible for the content they post on their personal social media accounts. While TFC cannot dictate activity on personal accounts, the club encourages everyone to be mindful of their online presence and how it relates to their affiliation with TFC.
5.2. Avoiding Negative Impact on TFC
Members are encouraged to avoid posting content on their personal accounts that could negatively impact TFC's image or reputation. This includes:

Publicly criticising TFC, opposition teams, officials, or players.

Engaging in arguments or online disputes related to TFC.

Sharing confidential information about TFC or its members.
If members choose to post about TFC on their personal accounts, they are encouraged to do so in a positive and supportive manner.

TFC reserves the right to take appropriate action in the event of a violation of this social media policy. This may include:
